Driving Instructor

Location: Kellyville, OK (seeking local candidates only)

Schedule: M-F with some weekends

Pay Rate: $25-26/hr.

Job Description:

Join our dynamic team as a Driving Instructor (Class A), where you will play a vital role in shaping skilled, confident commercial drivers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your expertise in truck driving and transportation safety while empowering adult learners to achieve their professional goals. As a key member of our training program, you will deliver comprehensive instruction that combines practical driving skills with essential safety protocols, ensuring each student is prepared for real-world challenges on the road.

Duties:

  • Provide hands-on training to students in Class A commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and trucks with air brake and tanker endorsements
  • Deliver engaging classroom sessions covering traffic laws, safety regulations, and best driving practices tailored for adult learners
  • Assess student progress through practical evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance their driving capabilities
  • Prepare students for licensing exams by reviewing theoretical knowledge and conducting mock tests
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, student attendance, and performance assessments
  • Ensure all training complies with federal and state transportation safety standards and company policies
  • Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous learning among students and team members

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with Class A license, including expertise in tractor-trailers and truck driving operations
  • Valid certification in air brake systems and tanker operations is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to teach or train adults effectively, with classroom experience a strong advantage
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and vehicle maintenance procedures
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly convey instructions and foster a positive learning environment
  • Prior experience with commercial driving simulation or instructional roles is beneficial but not required
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development within the transportation industry
