Upstream International LLC Appoints Bret Howell as Director of Admin and Accounting

February 15, 2021, Sugar Land, TX – The Sugar Land, Texas-based workforce solutions provider Upstream International named long-time oilfield professional Bret Howell as its Director of Administration and Accounting. Company President Scott Verrett made the announcement. 

“We are excited to bring aboard a skilled financial expert with such high integrity as Bret to our team. With more than 26 years of energy industry expertise, Bret will immediately contribute to our capabilities,” detailed Scott.  “Importantly, he possesses the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial audiences.”

In his new position, Bret will lead the high-performing administrative staff and oversee financial reporting for the company.

Howell’s prior roles include Senior Manager Financial Reporting Systems and Senior Manager Operations Finance at Halliburton. In 2015, he received the prestigious Halliburton “Trusted Business Advisor of the Year” award, granted to one individual in the company each year who was a strategic partner to operations, providing the highest level of service.

An Oklahoma native, Bret received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Cameron University.
